Default Disco owner again!

Picked up my 03 Disco today. Big thanks to Randy Williams at Rover Bones for all of his technical advice.
Will post a pic or two soon.
Heads have been done recently, just had the coolant flushed and new Discs & Rotors all round.
Ultra gauge ordered.
Xmas came early!
Andy

What about your front drive shaft, is there 1 grease fitting on each of the front u-joints, if not it will fail and take the tranny with it.
Read my sticky at the top of this section regarding major service on used high milers.
By the way, how many miles are on it?

Congratulations Andy! Being the owner of a land Rover discovery II is a great experience. Truly one of a kind vehicle and a real pleasure to drive. Do yourself a favor and look over our administrators maintenance list, he has provided some very useful information for us to keep our trucks running!

I plan on changing the front drive shaft as a piece of preventative maintenance.
It has 172k on the chassis and the vin is in the range of death!
My theory being everything should have gone wrong already on it.
The heads are recent, and the engine is super smooth and quiet.
May well be a replacement engine, given the VIN. I had the cooling system flushed, I need to bleed out a little air, as I can hear it slightly in the dash.
I'm live about 8 miles from Rover Bones in Lancaster PA, so have a great resource right on my doorstep.
