I'm not aware that the speedo can be calibrated. It has most to do with the tire size on the vehicle. I'm running 255/60-18's which are about 1" taller than the stock size of 255/55-18. My speedo is right on the money with this size.

Ok. I’m running 265/70/18 on 2” lift.

I used one of these 'calibrators' on a prior rebuild. Worked fine (on an Alfa). Just used a friend driving next to me to calibrate....

There is your answer. Over sized tires are the cause. It's the same for me with 265/70/16 tires.

I find a GPS Speedometer on my phone very helpful. I have oversize tires that make the dash speedometer right on up to about 30 MPH - but it's off again at 75 MPH and about 5 over what the dash says.

i took a chance, pulled the speedo needle off the cluster, drove using the gps on my phone. at 40 gps speed, pushed the needle on the gauge . a few attempts later got it on the money. road tested at various speeds. cheap fix worked for me.

Use your GPS to check your odometer while you are at it. That way you can get corrected MPG and feel all better about your carbon footprint. \\
