Default Disco1 has the girgles

Recently I've been hearing a bubbling and girgling sounds coming from behind the center console (radio, climate control *****, etc...). Even when the vehicle is turned off. If I drive for a while, I get a occasion whiff of coolant.

Any suggestions what this is or is the vehicle coming alive

Thanks.

I have a DII and this is the procedure that I followed a couple of days ago and I have not heard the "water fall" since. I don't know if this procedure will be exactly the same for a DI but if is a sealed system I can't imagine it being much different. If it is, someone will correct me VERY QUICKLY.

You have a coolant leak and air is getting sucked into the system as the engine cools. First find your leak or get the system pressure tested if one is not obvious. After that is done start with a cold engine, unscrew the bleed valve located on the top radiator hose or it might be at the "t" connection. Add coolant to the reservoir until coolant comes out of the valve and replace screw. Top off the reservoir and start truck with the heat ON and leave the cap off the reservoir until steam comes out or the upper hose is hot to the touch. Make sure your are getting heat!!! Check the reservoir the next day and add coolant as needed.

A D1 does not have the bleed valve in the upper hose. Just open the cap on the coolant tank and allow air to escape there. Make sure your heater control is set to full hot and the fan on high.

Leave the fan on low and the engine will get hot sooner and it will take less time to bleed the system.
But the heaters do need to be on full HOT.
