Disco's getting a bad habit...

98' disco with 165k. This first happened saturday (1-9).I was driving, no different than usual, and it just died. No sputter, didn't "try" and stay running, just total lose of power. I get to the side of the road, crank it over and nothing. Turns over fine, but doesn't sputter or anything. Try again, nothing. After about five minutes right before I call someone I try again and it starts right up. Runs fine, no problem. While driving later that day approximately 60mph it died on me for about five seconds, then came back to life and ran fine. Since it has done that five more times, once dying completely and after waiting about five minutes it started back up.
I have recently replaced the battery, oil change mobil 1 5w30, and induction cleaning before the oil change. Possibly something with the ecu? I have had to take it out and clean it once before due to moisture and corrosion. Maybe the crank sensor? It's my everyday vehicle and I drive around 100 miles a day. What a great choice of vehicle for a commuter

Before you go an replace anything!!! I replaced my batery 10k miles ago, about 3-4 days later my rover started dyeing. All I did was adjust the throttle up a little after a few days I was able to adjust it back down a little. I think that mine was just the ECU was a little confused. I cannot guarantee that this is the case, also check your battery connections.

Unless you use it twice in the same sentence, then they cancel each other out. I would lean towards the CPK unless it is losing power before it cuts out. If it is stumbling before it dies, that would tell me Fuel pump.

It doesn't sputter or stumble before it dies. Just instant lose of power. I took the dash apart, and do not see the spider anywhere. And, as anyone would be right now, I'm not so happy about that.
Is there somewhere else it would be for whatever reason? There seems to be two screw holes where it should be, but there's also no plug. The alarm works fine, so it should be somewhere...
