I have a 97 discovery 1. The brake rotors and pads have been recently changed to Ferodo brand rotor and pads. The problem is when the brakes heat up, they squeak very loudly. My mechanic has said that possibly because the rotors and pads aren't the original parts that everything isn't aligning properly.
The squeaking can get very loud that even the passersby stare.

Any suggestions on how to get it to stop squeaking?

Pull off your pads and spray a generous amount of anti squeal to the back of the pads. Then take some sand paper and lightly scuff the rotor and pad surface.
