Discovery 2 immobilised, LR can't find EKA.

I will try to find BCU but finding LR parts in my country is mission impossible. Import tax on car parts and diagnostic is 57% of the price. If that is only solution I will go with that.
How can I be sure that used BCU is not locked or I should buy new one?

If they can fix it, that's probably an option. But it's 130 pounds. You could buy a used BCU from the US for probably $20. Even if it cost $50 to ship it, it would still be cheaper, I'd think. I'd just make sure it's the later part numbers, YWC000310 I think, and that it came from a good running vehicle. If it came from a vehicle that was running, then it's not immobilized. Also, make sure that it has less miles (covert to KM probably) than what you've got on your odometer.

I have to buy nanocom, I will have to wait it three weeks at least. It will cost me around $750.
