Default Discovery II engine swap

I have a 2003 Discovery II w roughly 90,000 miles that I have put quite a lot into - new suspension, exhaust, front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, brake job, roof rack, etc. About a year ago I experienced an engine failure and I have not been able to fix it so it has just been parked outside my house since then. There's cylinder failure with coolant leaking into one or more cylinders so the engine must be replaced. Any tips on where to find a good replacement engine and do the complete swap? It is a solid, rust free and clean truck so it deserves a new life.

Thank you.

Atlantic British or TWS or you could just replace your head gasket like everyone else has done.

Thank you @Grum.man
There are cracks in the cylinder walls so replacing head gasket (recently done) won't work.

Suggest you look on fb marketplace for a 99-00 4.0 parting out, contact roadside worx for rebuild and swap.

If you're patient/like to turn wrenches and have the storage space there are plenty of rusty disco 2s to be found for sub 2k or even sub 1k with reasonable miles to them that need head gaskets or major rust.

I've usually recouped my purchase price by parting out, especially selling off cats to those in areas where they cannot be deleted.

Plus, if you're going to daily a disco you'll want a parts rig or two at all times for when, not if, something fails

I've had my D2 for over 6 years. For most of that it's been my DD. I don't have a parts car for it and it's been very reliable. I do have a parts car for my P38. I scrapped the shell but kept most of the parts.

I've gone to the parts rig for many items. Most are minor inconveniences items like a window motor failing/making noise or the heated drivers seat element failing and bringing through the upholstery.

Others times I avoided down time for special order parts and saved money, like a wheel bearing failure or ignition tumbler falling.

A 99 with well over 220,xxx miles on the odometer is worn out 2x over for D 2 standards
