Post Discovery II upgrades and Ideas

I recently purchased a 2001 discovery II. It is in immaculate condition and got a steal of a deal. Other than the fact that the heat shield for the exhaust is loose everything is in good shape. The only concerns I have are the extremely stiff gas and brake pedals. I think it might be the throttle linkages, any ideas? as for the breaks they might need a bleed and calliper rebuild. I also was wondering how I could get some better fuel economy on it, anyone strapped a turbo to their 4.0 before? Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard. How many miles does the truck have on it? Run through this list first and take care of everything important. https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...service-29020/

There are a lot of great write-ups on here and tips on how to keep these D2's running good. One thing to remember, your driving a tank, fuel mileage isn't going to be something you need to worry about. Best I've seen on the forum is around 15-16 mpgs, but more than likely, I'm usually around 12-13 mpg. I think someone on here wanted to do a turbo, but if I remember correctly, that was shot down. You could probably end up buying a Range Rover for the price of trying to add a turbo.
