Default Discovery III forum?

Where can I find comprehensive information for the upcoming new 2017 Discovery? I don't see a Discovery III section yet here. Then again, being new to Land Rover I may not be looking in the right section.

The disco 3 was from 2005-2008 or so, then the d4 until 2016. The new disco is listed as just discovery, but technically it the series 5 if you wanna call it that

So the Series II isn't the 2nd generation disco? I should have checked the Wiki first. Sorry.

I guess the new 2017 Disco is the 3rd generation and maybe it will be called LR5 here?

The Land Rover USA site has good info on and you can download the brochure and even build your. My wife already has hers built and is waiting. The brochure if I recalled is about 60 pages and has a ton of infor on it and every avaliable option. They aren't priced too bad for a loaded model. Still cheaper than a f-150 king ranch 4x4 with the v8

Yup, I have been to the LR site and even built one for fun to see what is optioned.

There are no dates production will begin. Dealers are last to know. That's why I came here to the forums. Forum members usually know when something is released and optioned before dealers.

Discovery III in USA terms was the LR3 followed by the LR4. The new discovery sport is a beast of a different breed really.

Yes, I understand now. I assumed that the brand new 3rd gen disco was called Discovery III on this forum. I misstated that guess. I'm again guessing that it will likely be called LR5 here.

I am surprised there isn't a LR5 section yet to pass information with the production scheduled just months away.

Better known in the UK as a 'tarts' car mean't for hairdressers

I believe the new Disco is a Gen 5 version, the real Discos ended at the LR4, or Discovery 4, now we have the super dooper eco luvvies shopping trolleys for taking the kids to school and visiting the super markets. I'm not sure of their offroad capabilities but most will only see offroad when they get parked on the grass verge outside the school or on the village green for the cricket match. rant over, some might like them

According to videos and such, the new Disco will be better offroad than the current LR4. I just hate how it's not boxy anymore
