Default Discovery realibiltiy

I have just recently bought a 1996 land rover discovery and I do plan on takng good care of it

I heard that discoveries are not very realiable. I don't agree My dad had a 1996 land rover never really had it tuned and it always ran not the best mileage but always ran.

how long should my discovery last with proper upkeep. Once a land rover mechanic told me they can last up 400,000 miles

and what is the main thing that rovers need to run right. note I only use premium gas.

and are discoveries easy to fix at home if I have a work manual. I heard they are.

need feedback

Your 96 Land Rover will last as long as you do not put off normal
maintenance .
Change the oil more often, brake fluid, power steering fluid just all
the fluids and filters.
And you have the best year for the Disco!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was before Land Rover pushed them more up scale with electric
slow me down the hill stuff that always goes out , no wood to
fade and a radio antenna in what window ?
But thats the Facts as a 96 owner tells them, you bet.[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Thanks LANDZU

for the information

I very happy I joined this forum it helps alot

plus I agree with you my dad loves my discovery 1996 even though my mom's has a 2000 land rover discovery

I love both discos but I feel mine is a easier fix with out the electric gizmos.
