Default Discovery S 03

I am about to purchase Discovery S 03, i was wanting to know should i buy 18" Rims for it or would i be better of leaving the 16"? Is there any modifaction that can be done to the Disco to improve the MPG, like exaust or unlocking differentials to turn off the 4x4?

Regards,

Keep the 16"s, they will give you a much better selection of tire sizes.
What are you planning to use the truck for, will you be doing alot of 4wheeling?
There are a few thing you can do for alittle better mileage, but don't expect miracles.

Stay with the 16" wheels, 18" wheels will get less mpgs ride worse.

You can do a cat-back / a intake but it will only help a little.

Bad MPG is just part of owning Land Rover as we never got the Diesels in the U.S.

And there is no way to be a two wheel drive.
Land Rover uses the same size frt and rear Diffs while other 4X4's that only
use 4X4 when they want have larger rear diffs to take the extra weight.

So Land Rover needs to use both diffs to keep from braking one or other diffs.

Hey thanks guys i just picked it up today, pretty great ride. I did find one problem the back doors will not unlock they will lock with the Key (fob) but will not unlock with the key or the front button. Any ideas should i reset the alarm system? Also the intake mods can anyone point me to a site where i can get more details on this i am a pretty good mechanic, also what about running true duel exhaust i assume i will have to by pass the exhaust sensors?
