To each their own, right? Let's not bring bibles into the forum. Sheesh!
Plus, that was more than just a little OFF-TOPIC! (not that I've helped any with my reply, LOL)
OKAY, to steer it back on topic... drop in a "new" used engine. With your experiences it sounds like it ought to be a fun weekend project! Or, sell the truck as is, but it'd be a real shame to see a Camel Trophy truck come off the road and I'd especially hate to see it parted out.

This is what I have. Taken from wikipedia-
1997: Land Rover introduces the Special Edition Discovery XD with AA Yellow paint, subdued wheels, SD type roof racks, and a few other off-road upgrades directly from the factory. Produced only for the North American market, the Special Vehicles Division of Land Rover created only 250 of these bright yellow SUV's. Official formation of the Camel Trophy Owners Club by co-founders Neill Browne, Pantelis Giamarellos and Peter Sweetser.

That clears things up a bit. His is a Special Vehicle, but not a camel throphy veteran, which is why his doens't have that silly purple 'Mongolia' graphic on the side. Whew. Still... I'd wear purple for a diesel disco.
Me too!
