Do I really want a D1?

Do I really want a D1?
Hello gang. So I had a 99 D2 for about 3 years. Loved it for the most part. I have decided to look into a D1. I drove my first D1 the other day. It had Iron Man shocks and lift springs. Anyhow it just didn't feel the same in ride quality as my D2. Even though the vehicle doesn't appear to have much of a rake it felt like I was looking down hill driving it. Any of you who have owned both have any input on this?

The things I don't miss from my '98 D1 was the leaking sunroofs, the rusted out chassis, the front seat position switches that constantly kept breaking off, the weathered and cracked rear window seals, the one out of two rear door hinges that broke off and the damn immobilizer key that randomly worked and kept me from starting the Disco.
But that was just my experience though...

I've owned 2 D1's and a RRC and yes while they are more british, I still prefer the D2. I don't have to duck to see straight out the windshield, a full brake job on a D2 can take less than an hour vs a D1 that requires a lot more work, D2 transmission shifts much smoother vs a RRC/D1, dropping the transmission pan also takes more time vs a D2.
I loved my 98 LSE 50th Anniversary Edition in Woodcote Green, and I sold it to a LR lover that used to have an XD and missed not having a D1. Do I miss my D1 of coarse, but on/off road I still just prefer the D2.
D1's are awesome and so are D2's, but it just comes down to personal preference.
