Your state must have sucky laws. How is it possible to be rear-ended and them claim it was your fault?

I have full coverage on my D2. Pretty high deductible for collision, lowest possible deductible on comprehensive, because of how easy it is to chip a windscreen in a disco. I also have the annual miles set pretty low, and don't have it listed as my back and forth to work car, because my Acura gets so much better MPG. I had liability only on my D1, but I only paid $1200 for it.

Full coverage here. About 1100/yr. My 1st Disco 01 I bought for 8000( overpaid but didn't know anything about them) then spent about 2500 fixing it all up. As soon as I got it in mint shape I hit a stretch off black ice and wrecked it. Ins paid me 10g's so worked out for me.

I'm in GA, accident was in AL. If the police do a crap job then the only option is court. The guy was so whacked some of the officers were laughing at his attempts at the sobriety test. Dunno, maybe he knew someone in the dept who "fixed" it for him.
We did have to pay ER bills out of pocket since I'd recently been laid off and didn't have health insurance either.

In California

Full Coverage on Both Cars.

03 Disco II = $65/mo with $250 and $500 Deductibles. Liberty Mutual, Kicks Butt on the price compared to everyone else I've quoted. Roadside, Towing, Rental Car, etc...

Wife's 05 New Beetle Convertible = $72/mo same coverages.

Full coverage, I still have a small note on mine so I have to. I t will definitely be a hard call if I keep collision or not when it's paid off.

Full coverage here...
When the vehicle value depreciates, it is something to think about.
It is piece of mind for me. I have never had a car payment, so the extra dollars for full coverage... not so bad.

I see the value in full coverage. In my case it will be $116/mo for $500k per incident and $1000 ded. My agent suggested I stay with this coverage because I am a home owner and a small business owner. I have shopped around a few were maybe $50.-$100 less a year but nothing really different. I am with Farmers right now. She is a good agent so I am kinda scared to go to someone new and not know about the after service. I will check with a few more companies but looks like I will suck it up and go full coverage...Thanks all for your responses
