Don't Buy Eurospare High Pressure Steering Hose
I got a Eurospare High Pressure Steering Hose which was advertised as Genuine.
It ain't easy getting it in, and when I do, it doesn't fit. Double checked the old power steering box, doesn't fit. Brutal, and really screwed me.

Eurospare stuff isn't genuine for any make that I have worked on, BMW, Mini, VW, Audi and my Disco and their fit is hit and miss. Sorry you got a bad one. Try Pelican Parts, they are the retail side of a company that does European wholesale parts for shops out here in California. They don't have a ton of Rover stuff but they seem to have the basic service and repair parts and usually have genuine Rover brand parts.
Are you talking about the line from pump to box? I think I have the same hose... it didn't fit because the o-ring was too big. I swapped it for a genuine (they are either green or brown) and it fit good.
Just a brutal experience, and I am off the road until Tuesday when I get the genuine.
So I just did this job last weekend. Bought this Eurospare Power Steering Hose Kit off of ebay and ended up only doing the high pressure hose that runs under the radiator.
The original I pulled came out in several rusty pieces. When I went to replace it I thought I ran into a similar issue of the o-ring not going in far enough. A little jiggling and good push got it into position. Bled the system and now I have power steering again!
Can't say the thing is of great quality but what I ordered ended up working out.
Always remember: a little jiggle and push gets it in
If that doesn't work for you, return and replace.

I had the same problem with mine, seems later model Discos in the 03-04 era use a different part number for that line than the earlier ones. Although most aftermarket sellers don't seem to be aware. The line I received wouldn't go into the steering box even without an o-ring, I mic'd the line and it was a little larger diameter than my original one. I ended up machining it down until it would fit and used a different o-ring than the one supplied and it fit and sealed ok in the end, but was a huge pain.

the guy who sold it to me claims to put these in all of the time, and the 03 04's being different could explain that.
