Default Doom & Gloom? No way, have Disco fun!

Well, I for one am always disheartened when I daily come to this Disco forum home page, and just see "Help! My Disco is dead!" posts, which, of course, are necessary. But I see so few "Hey, I had a great time today!" posts, so I thought I'd make one.

Had a great weekend with the truck, my "son-in-law to be" bought a 2001 recently which promptly died days after he bought it. https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...el-help-99410/ (since I hyped mine so much after I bought it, I feel responsible for his purchase and pain.) So we all went on an offroad/camping trip in mine and my old, beat, 309,000 mile(!) FJ60 Land Cruiser, and had a bunch of fun. We are also having fun working on his, but would like to get back to the fun part.

So, what did your Disco do RIGHT recently?

Pics are of course welcome, it is a "feel good" thread, after all.

Jeff

Great looking setup there! We had ours out doing some wheeling but this past weekend towed a light trailer with the dirt bike so my son could do some riding. No one was out there Thursday or Friday but it got busy Saturday and Sunday so we headed back to the house.

I had some rover cosmetic repairs to tackle too

All good!!

What does my Disco do right? It is a bad *** daily driver. Yes, it has had a few issues, but overall my Mini was not much better. Best part? Going off road in luxury.

Luckily my disco does more right than wrong. Including not letting me down with all the motor/trans mounts totally shot (parts are ordered and she's parked until they are done) but odds are they were roasted prior to my Moab trip that had 4 days of wheeling last month. I used to daily mine and would do so again in a heart beat if my current commute was shorter.

Mines not a DD, but she's plenty great for trips in to the mountains and camping!

Bought my 02 with 199k miles on it.
It has just over 220k now (year later) and is my DD. I commute 3 days a week (until this virus thing) at 25 miles one way.
I take it biking almost every weekend and put another 120 or so miles on it.
The wife, dog and I take it "adventuring" doing gravel etc just for fun.
I've camped in it - I have a deck in the back to lay on.....

I've only had minor issues - nothing show stopping - no complaints.....

Mine does everything I want it to do, stuff fails /breaks and I fix it that is the nature of used vehicles. But it has taken me well off the beaten path and got me home every time.
