Default Doors problem

My driver doors locks unlocks with key. My passenger and rear doors remain locked. Rear hatch is fine. Button on dash does nothing

Any ideas?

Hi Zuke -

This is a common and annoying gremlin that I have faced and still face, and I’ve found that it can be a hard one to resolve, as it can be anything from the BCU to secondary fuse box, to the latches themselves. There’s a lot of threads on here, but in my experience they took me down a lot of rabbit holes.

it takes a lot of diagnosing. I had mine misdiagnosed by a local independent Landy shop.

First you’ll have to get more clear on the issue.

- Whats the behavior of the key fob? Can you lock all the doors with it? If not with one press, what if you press the lock button with two rapid presses?

- How long have you had the truck? Has the behavior always been consistent?

- Any other weird things happening electrically? Do they work with the doors? Do your vanity mirror lights work? Do all of your dome lights function normally? Blower fan, rear defogger, radio, etc doing weird things ever?

When you press the central lock do you hear any noises at all? Listen closely in a quiet environment.

I’d start there and let us know.

Door lock actuators. Very common. Does anything happen with the fob?
