i would buy a used one from a parts guy and mess around with it see what you can come up with. first thing has to go is the cupholders, then the temp control has to be dropped and you need to fab some kind of plastic. if you have enough money im sure you could ship it to someone and get it made up how you want. i just dont know who.

There is an awesome double din conversion I've seen as well... I love it. If I had the gear I'd start doing it for people. I reckon there'd be a great aftermarket business in it. How many people love their Disco's, but would love to get their sat nav, blue tooth enabled unit installed?? - Heaps!! (like me)

in ellerslie, georgia. yeah, i saw some bezels on ebay reasonably priced to tinker with. and i could do what i could to mimic the pictures in the outline of the one detailed, but i can see the writing on the wall. looked into the pop-out ones, but they're flimsy and it's not a crisp finish, and way way overpriced from the double din units.
surely there's got to be someone out there with the know-how that can help!!

if you run a search for double din or dash mods, about a year back you should come up with whole article about a member that did just that mod. it had a lot of info and pictures of how he did it. Somewhere are last spring if i remember correctly.

i thought the same thing, but I took my time and mine came out good in my opinion. get a dremel with various bits for sanding and shaping and you'll do fine
