Default Drag link and track rod

Installed BritPart HD drag link and track rod last week. Then a week later, had front end alignment. What an improvement!! Driving feels sturdier, the shocks feel improved, and for some odd reason, I have more braking power. Now I'm up for new ball joints, and I'll have (almost) a new front end. So....after all this, I might then consider, maybe some new shocks. With a roof rack and new Casey Custom steel bumper, it seems that I am putting more stress on suspension parts. The reason for this post is that I see many members disappointed with purchasing new shocks that maybe HD rods will improve their ride.

Aren't the ball joints integral with the drag link and track rod?

He's probably referring to the main upper/lower ball joints associated with the knuckle/spindle. Now that little replacement will surely make the 15-yr old 4x4 ride like it just left the lot. It was night/day difference when I replaced them on my truck, which was never abused a day it's in life. I can't imagine what the original ball joints are like on some of these trucks that have been driven off-road, used to haul, etc.

I have never heard of Casey Customs until now; if the website is a true reflection, then their product must be legit'

Yes. I was referring to knuckle and spindle. The Casey Custom front bumper was $700 btw. I love it. Curious, how much would it cost (ballpark) for a shop to replace both uppers and lowers for the ball joints????? I plan to to plenty of camping this year, and my canvas tent weighs over 125 lbs. That's a lot of weight I'm carrying on my roof rack.

I'm sure they would charge a few hundred. A lot don't even want to touch a rover. I'm planning on getting the Casey custom tree sliders with the air tanks built in and using an arb high output compressor to keep em filled. I think the idea in genius. I'm going a different route with the bumper though. Planning on dark Crowe. I like casey's bumpers and think they are sharp as hell but I'm a sucker for that stinger. You can get the upper and lower ball joints pretty reasonable and if you are mechanically inclined, you can do it yourself and rent the tool from a major auto parts store
