Drilling a Brit Part Bumper
I want to add a light bar to the Brit Part bumper, does anyone how if drilling the 5mm steel is a reasonable task? Or will that just destroy my bits and jack up the finish?
The one I bought on facebook needed some love, some rust. I had to pull apart the box that slides onto the frame, it was about 5mm too narrow. some vice grips and tugging got it done. Otherwise, cleaned up the frame, painted everything, including the wiper fluid bottle. I am thinking about cutting one up to see if I can hide it better. If anyone has a used one to experiment on, let me know.
I found these fog light lights fit PERFECTLY into the jack points on the Brit Part bumper, will mount up nicely.

Drilling 5 mm should be easy, the trick to not scratching up the plate is to first mark the spot with a center punch then drill a small pilot hole first then proceed to the size bit for your mount, go slow and keep oil on the bit.
this. hit a punch into the spot you want and the bit will stay right in it.
