Default Drip rail

Has anybody taking the drip rails off and left the off? Just wondering because the long stretches on mine are a little messed up from hail damage.

Yea they don't seem that hard to replace but a little pricey right now for new. I figured somebody might have removed them completely like some do with the wheel arches. I figured if I did remove them though, they would be linex'd so it would look in a sense if something was still there
