Drivers side cat is rattling like crazy. Needing a replacement that would be easy to install. Looking for options. I can cut and clamp- welding would go to a shop. Thanks guys/gals

No "bolt in" or "clamp in" replacements unless you buy a complete y-pipe. Best bet is to order cheap universal converters off eBay and go to a shop.

2.25" diameter.

Slight build on the OP's question here. Are the LR genuine Y Pipes even still avail new for purchase? Anyone know?

genuine y pipes are like three grand. I installed a magnaflow complete y pipe. they cost about $1000 but I got mine for $650 with tax for cost from my mechanic (we worked out a deal for some other parts I had). It's a little louder now but all my codes and exhaust issues went away immediately upon install. took about 3 hours to swap out taking my time.

This is the one I'd order. You'll need 2. I used very similar if not the same on my wife's D2.

Might as well replace both, and take them for recycling locally. Magnaflows $75 deal is ridiculous. I got $680 for one Intact one and one rattling one from a FB marketplace buyer.

How was clearance on the passenger side? I got magnaflows stated fit universals and it's a close squeeze.

I sold both of mine for 1250 total. they get recycled for the metals inside, so clogged, rattling, whatever doesn't matter. they get crushed and the metal extracted and separated. I sold mine to Marty Powell who used to run a rover part-out business a few years back. he paid up front and sent a shipping label. OP, find a recycler who will take them from individuals before cutting your old ones out.
