Default driver window issue

2 days ago, while at the beach on Tybee Island, my driver's window stopped working. Well, what happened was after having it down to speak with a friend, the window would not return to fully "closed". There is about a 3/4" gape at the top and the window will not move. Can't pull the window closed or push it down. Motor sounds to be engaging and will move the window just a little. Looking at the other threads and the regulator seems to be the source of most window problems. Should I start there? Or what?

If you search my handle Robover01, or threads "what's up with my window" or "window regulator removal" you can read about my recent adventure with a similar window problem. It's not that bad. Good luck my friend.

Well, after reading up on the regulator issue; I decided I would take apart my driver's door and see what I could find. Upon removing the panel I noticed that there were white nylon pieces inside the door at bottom. After removing the regulator/motor from the door, I found that one of the two bushings (nylon) that slide across the bottom of the window as missing, well, not really it was just in several pieces at the bottom of the door. Due to the missing part, the regulator bent and jammed itself to were the window would not open/close. So, I bent the reg. back into its original shape and reinstalled the reg./motor. So far the problem has been fixed.

there is a company that sells metal replacements for those nylon rollers, if you are missing one it will give you problems again.

I dont remember what the website is but I am sure someone will chime in with it

Best bet is to just to get a new regulator. It will cost a couple bucks but worth it in the long run.
