Default Dry as a bone!

The concrete underneath the front of my Land Rover is currently dry as a bone, that is, there is no coolant on the ground. No, the coolant didn't all leak out. My upper radiator hose came today from Atlantic British, as did my new fan, got them both on in about an hour. Refilled and bled the coolant. I love the newer style hose assembly with the bleed screw at the "T". Seemed much easier to bleed. Ran the engine with the heater on full blast and the cap off the overflow tank until I got heat out of all vents. I have test driven it 4 times and nary a drop has appeared on my driveway. My Land Rover loves me again.

It's a land rover--give it some time it will drip some oil, then oil and coolant. Love it!

Isn't it funny how such a little thing can bring such joy to us! A normal person would expect their car to not leak where we are surprised when our's doesn't. Such a love hate relationship!

Default But you want oil leaks...

I don't envy your dry LR - you want oil leaks because that prevents rust. Wherever there's no oil on my DII undercarriage, there's severe rust.

Yes I love my Land Rover. When my rear main seal starts leaking I will start freaking out, I cannot stand to have a leaky vehicle. I might have to get over that particular complex. Who am I kidding... I will pull the motor and rebuild it, as soon as possible. I really hate a stained driveway.
