Easter off road w/pics
alright, Spike I'm all for the family adventure and wish I could get my wife and kid loaded up more often...
but those pics are pretty weak... next time we fully expect mud, rocks, and other body damaging obstacles.

Spike,
Great looking trip in a great looking rig. One question, I see tire tracks on the dirt roads, but know across that stream, what gives, don't you Grand Rapids guys get off the road? The basement wall looks cool, be nice to root around it for artifacts to date it.

Spike,
Looking at you first few pictures, I saw one of you and always thought of you as a taller person, just kidding.
Good to see you had a chance to get out, our trails are still so snow bound and we are do for another 8" to 16"s over the next 24 hours.
Take acre

Well those trails are all sand and it gets deep on the curves from all of the motorbikes and quads pushing it up as they fly around the corners.
And I did just get the truck washed the week before.
Those trails are pretty tame, alot of mogols so the keys sliding back and forth on the steering column gets pretty old.
No mud around there this trip, it has been extremely dry here.
When we do these trips we do it for the critters and to be away from home and enjoy the outdoors.
Normally these trails are full of motorbikes and quads doing 60mph and a cloud of dust so thick you cant see a damn thing.
We only ran across maybe 12 other people the whole 3 hours we were on the trial.
Sorry to disapoint you guys.

The pics of those trails dont show them full justice.
They are 1.5 cars widths wide at the widest point's, lots of blind corners and steep hills. LOTS of sand.
The sand was still moist so it was a challenge to climb some of the hills, its so deep that you have to give it gas to go DOWN a hill.
They are easy trials, I didnt even have it in low, just hi-lock and the trans in 2nd.
All the good trails are 3+ hours away and thats kinda hard to do for a picnic.
If we do these trails in the summer the sand is over the rims so when you get back home your rims never shone go good.

The last pic is funny... Turned the same myself on Easter Day. I showed my wife and she had no interest at all. Tried to take a pic myself, but my Blackberry has no camera..
Glad you had fun, looked like a good day..
