I believe these are made by one of this forum's members. They look solid.

Yeah basically it was Muddmouth, he was super active on here, doing a lot of cool stuff, really good with cutting/welding. He was making some cool stuff, then everyone asked him to make sliders, so he complied and made a run of these stout sliders, nobody bought them. He was upset about it, understandably, and now isn't on here almost at all.

Assuming it is the same:

They'll be a little different than the ones I just built for my truck in that, there will be a C channel around the sills with the slider welded directly to it. All tubing is 3/16" mild steel, all plating is 3/16" as well, grade 8 zinc plated hardware, blended welds with optional out riggers to tie them into the frame.
Im gonna construct a couple of pairs and see what happens. If your interested in a set post here and if I get a enough interest then Ill put them into production.
Im not doing this to make money, I have a day job. Im doing this to offer a better and some what cheaper alternative to whats being offered currently.
This is my way of giving back. Can do customs too.

Shipping can be arranged via UPS or Greyhound

Coatings will be either paint, Raptor bed coating or Rustolium spray on bed coat.

Discovery 2 only ... because that's what I own and can build off of what I already know.

Thanks for looking.

Hello,

I just noticed these posts tonight thought I would comment as well. My name is Chris and I have been building these and selling for over a year on Ebay. Not sure who the other person you mentioned is but these are not his rock sliders. Check out my latest version at this link and let me know what you think.

Land Rover Discovery 1 or 2 Rock Slider w Step Extreme Galvanized | eBay

These are 2 x 3 10 gauge tubing mounted on 1/4 plate.
Wrapping the sill with bracing back to frame support.
The finished welded product is hot dipped galvanized then the buyer can add there own finish.
TOUGH,RUST PROOF AND GOOD LOOKING!!!
I also have a front bumper available and soon another more extreme duty winch bumper with bull bar for Discos 1 and 2 ( just bought my first 1993 Range Rover LWB so parts for these in the works).
Let me know what you think.
You can also call me at 614-554-5112
Thanks
Chris Fritsch

Just a note to pass along to all of those interested in the sliders. I have dealt with Chris several times for D2 parts during the past year. He is a very knowledgeable, straight-forward, and an overall good guy to deal with, who just happens to love Rovers. I have checked out both the sliders and front bumper in person. Both very nicely built and when funds are available, they will be going on my truck. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.
