Sounds like you need to down-load a free copy of the Rave CD, link is in my signature section.
Why are you needing to remove it?

I've replaced the maf sensor, Purge valve, and o2 sensors and the codes are still coming up after I clear them. Also, there is a code for the cam sensor that won't go away. My d2 is running perfect and I still have all these codes. Don't know what else it could be? I pulled the engine about 9 months ago and replaced the short block but I accidentally smashed 6 wires behind the ac compressor and ran it unknowingly. Those are fixed the right way with heat shrink and the same codes are still coming up from when the wiring was bad.

Are you getting the dreaded P0455?

Why is the 455 such a dreaded code?

Arizona man, quit throwing money away when you don't know how to fix the problem. Send me your number and I'll call you.

The ECU is behind the glove box, bolted to the side of the body, covered by the kick panel. You cannot replace just the ECU, unless you know someone that can sync it with your BCU afterwards... my hawkeye scanner will NOT do this with the currently software.

Read the last post on my thread for my 99 project car for more details, I just replaced my ECM and BCU about an hour ago.

Just looked at rave manual. Thanks for the info, it was a little unclear exactly where it was in there. Im sure the dealer could sync it, the service manager Mark Schofield at Royal Land Rover here in Tucson is awesome and usually can help with anything i need. But I think I have other problems that need attention, not the ecm/ecu.

I am wondering the same thing, I have been through pretty much everything I could think of trying to fix my random multiple misfires and at this point I believe it could be the ECU, Mike if you know more about this please message me.

What are your codes? Are the misfires all on the same bank?
