ECU stopped communicating with ScanGauge

I pinned out the back (wire side) of C0286 and have continuity between all pink wires. I used my Fluke 78 diode checker, which I believe only beeps at or near zero ohms resistance.
As far as checking at ECU: today I have done further cleaning of connectors after checking Rave and learning connector 4 of ECU "facilitates use of TestBook."

LO AND BEHOLD! After a rigorous cleaning of all connectors at ECU, everything came back to life! The honest truth: an entire can of CRC electrical cleaner (the good stuff, plastic safe) yielded one little green fleck one-half the size of a grain of sand. But after letting it dry and putting it all back together, the scangauge works just like new!

Of course, blower motor quit on drive home. And, of course, I broke two wires, which were badly corroded, on headers C0286 and C0287. The headers were still hanging down in the way of blower motor removal. Wiring repair made.
Motor removed, cleaned and tested on truck before final assembly. Did not work after bolting into truck. 12 volts at connector, so new motor on the way.
