Default Electric Fan

Some times the A/C fan (the one under the hood near the radiator) stays on after the car is turned off. If I turn the ignition back to accessory and then turn off the AC it turns off, or if I let it sit it will turn off after a few minutes.

Is this normal? It only happens on the very hottest of days or after alot of around town driving.

Yes it is normal. Heat builds up under the hood and the fan stays on to cool the engine.
Next time it happens you can just walk away, it will shut off on its own.
I used to have a Ford Escort and the fan would come on anytime the under hood temps got high enough, including sitting all day on hot blacktop in the sun ina parking lot at work.
