Default Electrical Problems

So i went off roading last week ..it jarred it pretty good, and then a couple days ago my truck dies while pulling into my street. today I swapped out the fuel filter and battery. it started up and i drove it home, then it stalled again. but it restarted and i got it home.
So I think its electrical..could something have been jarred when i was off roading? where would i look ..
ive also got to gert the codes read at auto zone or advance.

any advice would be extremely helpful.

When the truck is running how well does it run? Does it idle at 600-750 rpm? Does it idle smooth? Does the tach work?

it runs about 300 rpm, lowww idle..idk whats up with that..and then it just bottoms out

sorry..it idles pretty smooth, the tach still works

do you think i should just recheck the electrical connections(2) on the fuel pump and lookk for any corrosion ?

I am leaning towards the stepper motor, also known as the idle air control valve.
When it fails the truck will not idle, easy to replace.

Not knowing what year your truck is I included the link for both.
I have heard but cannot conferm that the IAC from a Jeep will work and is much cheaper and can be had at AutoZone.
You might beable to get the LR one there too.
You can take yours out and clean it with carb cleaner and a tooth brush, clean the hole it goes into also.

Just wanted to throw this in the mix, maybe this confirms that the IAC is what I might need rto replace. A couple times within the last month I have started the truck(97 D1) and it has idled too high..around 2k rpm and then it will eventually return to a "normal idle" below 1k. I didnt think to include that with my original post.

Yes, that would confirm and IAC either going bad or completly coked up with carbon. Cleaning them often helps but if it's never been done chances are it's going bad.
