Electrical Problems with Disco 2
So I am having an issue with my disco. I just replaced the battery yet when the car sits for more than a day I go to start it only to find that the battery is completely dead. I know its not an alternator problem because as soon as I jump it it is good to go until it sits again. I am not sure where to troubleshoot but I am assuming there is a bad relay somewhere that is sucking the juice from the battery. Any ideas?

sounds like it has a parasitic load, you'll need an inductive clamp amp meter..put it around the negative battery cable..start pulling fuses one at a time..when the meter goes down you've found your parasitic load
i'm not sure what kind of meter you have so i don't want to give you advice how to use it and have it mess up..which shouldn't be an issue with an inductive clamp..you have to measure amp flow that's the bottom line
just google it, it's a common procedure for any vehicle with a parasitic load not just rovers

i'm having the exact same problem, and my rover had the coil spring conversion on it when i bought it. I am very interested to see if this is just a fuse i can pull to fix this prob. My disco II is a backup vehicle that i use maybe 1-2 a week so i have to jump it EVERY time i run it, but it will be good for about 24 hours til it dies again
With any electrical battery/alternator issue, the first thing to do is go to your local parts store and have them tested for "FREE". You must have voltage between 13.6 to 14.4 volts or there is a problem.
As for the SLS issue, 2 fuses 1 in each fuse block will take care of the draw but not the possible warning light on the dash that needs to be shut off with a proper scanner.
