Default Engine Automatically Over Revs?

I replaced my plugs and wires yesterday, and now when I go to start the engine, it automatically over revs all the way up past 3500 RPMs. Im pretty sure its a vacuum line that i may have accicdently hit, but i've looked all over my 1996 Discovery 4.0 and I cant find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is driving me crazy, and obviously I cant drive it in this condition. Thanks in advance for any help, im a new member here. I've used the search fuction, but found nothing on this topic.

Well assuming you didn't rip the PCV hose on the right valve cover, and you can't manually turn the throttle plate down to lower the RPM's. then the other thought would be a bad stepper motor.
