Exclamation engine failure problem
I found a discovery that has the vin saltw16403a781444. Is it in the range of the engine failure problem that envolves the oil pump? If so is LRNA doing anything about this or do they just say deal with it?

Do a search on this or any other Rover forum and see, that is what we would have to do.
No, Rover won't do anything about it.
How much are they asking for it?

That is within the range of failure, I'd avoid that Disco. for your reference the range is 3A771801 – 3A808362

Maybe it has had it's engine replaced. See if you can get the maintenance records.

Why lead the guy on. This vehicle is on the list and may have an issue,
Bottom line, there are plenty of trucks out there that don't have this issue.

What's the mileage on the truck? Best bet though is to find an '04. Depending on your use for the truck, you may also be content with other years.
