engine flush question

how many qts of ATF will I need for the flush??
also I read that you put the atf oil in instead of the regular oil?? right?? any brand in particular?? then idle for 5 min. right then drain put the new oil and oil filter on right??
thanks I just want to clarify

You will need the same number of quarts that you use for a oil change.
Idle for 20 min. Shut it off and let it sit for 5-10 min.
Dain, remove old filter, replace new filter add new oil.
Any ATF will do. The cheaper the better.
