engine knock after changing stuck fuel injector
My 2003 disco with the 8 cyl. had a fuel injector stuck open. It hydrauliced the engine and wouldn't even let it turn over. After it would drain it would start and run but poorly. I found it by turning over the engine with no plugs and got showered with gas. I confirmed it after pulling the injectors and cranking it over.
I replaced the culprit and it started running fine but has a knock now and didn't before. I drove it a bit and you can feel some hesitation. I also changed the oil and filter to get out any gas from the oil. I think it might be a blown lifter from hydraulicing. Any ideas?

Well if it was hydrolocked and you tried to crank it over you may have bend a rod or worn out the bearings on that rod cap by all the extra pressure from the cylinder being loaded with fuel.
It should not have leaked enough fuel to fill the cylinder full though, not enough fuel in the lines to do that.
You may just need to drive it for a few days and see if it clears up.
