First thing I would suggest would be to do an oil pressure test, cold at idle and 2000 RPM's and hot at idle and 2000 RPM's, then back to us with the 4 sets of numbers.
Hi Mike,

The noise sounds like it is coming from the oil pan. Would a lifter issue still not be heard from the oil pan as the cam and lifters are also open to the bottom end?

My numbers are:
Cold Idle-51
Cold 2000-54
Hot Idle-12
Hot 2000-42

Drove the beast for 200 miles today in 100+ Chicagoland temps. Stopped and grabbed a cup of joe in the morning and heard it. Then on the 100 mile trip back home stopped and could not hear it. Guess until I get some time to put the Disco down I'll have to deal with it.
