Engine Misfiring
Here is my story:
On a recent 500 mile trip my engine light came on and flashing.
After returning home, checked for OBD2 codes and got, O2 sensor code, multiple misfires, and some transmission fault.
After replacing MASF, air filter, plugs (bosch), wires (bosch), coil pack (original), O2 front sensors, oil change, oil flush, fuel system cleaner, SEAFOAM treatment, and valve treatments, I keep getting the following misfiring codes:
P0300
P0307
P0306 New today, I was just getting 307 for a week or so.
And the fumes I am getting are pretty strong.
I know I did not get the magnecore wires, but can this really fix my problem?
I am not sure what else to try, last resort is dealership, but I know I will be spending a lot of money for that.
Any suggestions? Why is the engine light flashing (misfiring that bad)? I have seen posts were people talk about misfiring but no flashing light!
Should I go for the magnecore wires? Better plugs? What aboutsticking valves?
I am desperate.Close to selling my 3rover vehicles because of this!!!! (95RRC; 99RRH; 02 DCII)

Bosch wires normally don't work that well on Rover engines, strange but true, for that matter there are very few wires that work well much less last for long.
That is not to say that the wires are your problem.
First of all, do you remember what your original codes were before you started throwing parts at it?
Yes flashing is a critical problem, your car should not be driven until this issue is resolved or you will be looking at major expenses.
What year and model are you talking about and what is it's mileage?

This is what I found:
P0300: Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. Excess emissions/catalyst damaging level of misfiring, detected on more than one cylinder.
P0301: Cylinder 1 misfire detected.
P1884: It is a system interfacecode (I dont know what the hellthat means, but that is what alldata says..)
P0306: Cylinder 6 misfire detected
P0307:Cylinder 7 misfire detected.

Well, I wish you had said something prior to replacing the coil and MAF cause by fault codes, you didn't need either of them.
I am not sure on the 1884 fault, the 1174 indicates you are running way to rich on both banks.
How many miles on your truck, which 02 sensors did you replace and what brand 02 sensor did you use?

I have 95,000 miles on my 02 disco.
I replaced the front O2 sensors.
Not sure what brand, got them from Atlantic British:

ground fault loop... you have a damaged wire touching the frame and causing a ground fault
the annoying part is, ANYTHING electrical can do this, even the o2 sensors
could even just be cross arcing with the plug wires, this will also cause misfires, but can also cause wrongful firing aka a piston is firing when its not supposed to which would damage then engine irreparably (could be the cause of the blinking light).
