Default Engine Miss fires when cold

I noticed the engine will miss fire when I try to get on the gas a little when cold. When fully warm, no problems. Any suggestions?

What year and miles, what octane gas are you using and when was the last tune up done?

thanks for the reply.

95,970 miles. Octane = 92. Last Tune Up = ??? Going through and changing all the fluids first.

Just bought the vehicle September, looks like they did pretty good maintenance, but no records.

Sounds like a tune up may be in order, at least then you will know for a fact when it was last done.
And keep in mind that 90% of O2 codes on a Rover are due to the need of a tune up.

Thanks for the quick response. I have not checked any codes yet. Will work on the tune up next along with the radiator (heat exchanger) fluid change before it gets to cold.

Make sure you throw a set of 8 mm Magnacor wires when tuning it.
Have you been having to add coolant, or is the level real low in the morning, if so soon as you start your engine, go back and smell your exhaust, if it smells sweet, you may have a head gasket leaking into a cylinder over night.

I do not believe there is a coolant leak. Just changing all the fluids and performing all maintenance. Thanks for the heads up. I will smell the exhaust today. Will order the 8 mm Magnacor. What spark plugs would you recommend?

Any Iridium plug you want.
I used Denso last time and AutoLite this time.
