Default Engine Replacement / ECM Question

Alright...this may be a stupid question, and if so I apologize. I have the opportunity to pick up a vehicle in need of a new engine, but in good condition otherwise, and a donor engine. My question is in regards to the ECM/BCM. If both ECM and BCM are from the same vehicle, will they need to be reprogrammed? Are there any other potential electronic/programming issues with an engine swap I should be aware of? I searched, but none of the engine swap threads discuss any of these potential issues. For the record, I am not doing the engine swap myself; that exceeds my mechanical ability, I just want to know what to expect. Thanks

No need to swap any computers to replace the engine.

Does the replacement engine have the same specifications and features as the engine it is replacing? As I understand it the two key variables are SAI (secondary air injection) and engine displacement (4.0 L versus 4.6 L).

4.0 and 4.6, no issues. Only need to respect the SAI and non SAI issue.
