Default Engine surging in the morning?

It seems like the truck only does this in the morning until it is warmed up good. The first time I pull onto the street the truck seems to lose power for a split-second and then runs good. For the next little while I get a fluctuation in RPMwhen trying to dirve a constant speed or speed up. The problem seems to diminish or go away when the truck fully warms up. Any ideas what to check? I just changed plugs +4, wires MSD 8mm, cap, rotor, and a new radiator. This problem has started about a week after doing this work.

What brand of cap and rotor did you use?

cap is Land Rover and rotor is the correct one. Bought both from Atlantic British.

What octane are you running, when was the last time you cleaned the t/body and did an induction cleaning?

I would have to say that it is your plug wires.

Did the induction cleaning and cleaned the t/body a few months ago. I did find that trans fluid was a little low, forgot to top it off after the radiator change. Will see if that fixes the problem in the morning. Plug wires are tight and truck is running great for the moment. Thanks for the help.

So my engine is doing something similar, a brief hesitation or surge every 3-5 seconds or so whilestopped, in gear, with my foot on the brake. Seems to me it is worse when the truck is warm. Any reduction in load on the engine (turning off the A/C, putting the tranny in neutral) seems to diminish or remove the issue. 57k on original plugs / wires has me thinking the issue is plugs / wires. Sound like I am barking up the RIGHT tree for a change?

I always run 93 octane and have no idea on the throttle body / induction cleaning, at least not done since14k miles /2.5 years ago when I bought the truck. How often do you recommend on that cleaning?

Cheers,

Bob03Disco-You need plugs and wires, you will be getting the check engine light pretty soon if you are starting to notice it running rough.
I do the induction cleaning and t-body once a year.

Shark-Let us know what you figure out.
