Default Engine swap need help

Hey guys I was going to replace all my engine gaskets and called a very popular land Rover specialist in Birmingham Alabama and he said it would be about 4000$ dollars but it would be much cheaper for him about 1400$ to swap and put an engine in and said to find a crate engine to put into it, now being this guys is an actual specialist only for land Rovers I would like to think his opinion is good, but if that's the case I have no idea what I'm looking for so does anyone know where or what 4.6 liter v8 dual air injection crate engine to put in because I have no idea what I'm looking for lol.

Turner crate engine, fully rebuilt with top-hat sleeves.
$7k+, plus shipping and install.
I know shops charge for labor, but $4k just for gaskets is insane.
I'm currently rebuilding my 4.6, and will be around $3500 in parts, 0 for labor.
All the gaskets don't even total $200 of that.

When you say 3500$ in parts which parts do you mean?

Almost all of them, lol
A used 4.0 block, my 4.6 crank and rods(4.0 and 4.6 block are the same), new Crower cam and cam bearings, standard rod and main bearings, freeze plugs, all gaskets, lifters, pushrods, rocker shafts, ARP head studs, reman injectors, reman heads(cheaper than machining old ones), new pistons and wristpins(pistons are last and only parts left that I have to order). Also, new rings, timing cover and oil pump.
I might have missed a couple things, but basically using a good block, crank and rods, and rocker arms, and replacing everything else.

If you want a new engine, and cannot do your own work, a Turner engine is your best bet.
Or, you could talk to Trailhead in Ohio about a turn key LS swap.
By the time you add install labor to a Turner, I think the prices will be close, with any extra for the LS being worth it.
The only other option for an LS swap is member ACEngineer's swap kit. But, as good as that is reported to be, it is Not a simple swap. Fab and swap experience are highly recommended, and requires you to source your own engine as well as some supporting parts.

Lol well yikes as much as I would love to put a new engine in I don't want to spend about 7k and then with the 1400$ labor for it, I'm more along the lines of looking for 1 thing I can buy and then have him put in.

You can look for a good used P38 4.6 from a Range Rover.
The P38 were factory A quality ratings, and went in RR only.
The B and C level tested quality went into the D2's.

Or, you could do it yourself with help from the forum.
And if you don't have tools, they are cheaper than labor costs.
D2's have their issues, but are very easy to work on.

Definitely can't do it myself lol, but I think I maybe found what I need? I can see that it says 100,000 miles excellent condition but I wonder if it has been remanufactured with new inside parts or not I guess I might have to call about it.
