Default Error Code 413

I have error code P1413. The scanner list this as Secondary Air Injector System Switching Valve A Circuit Open.

I just bought the car and it passed Calif smog check wihtout any problems lees than 300 miles ago.
2000 Discovery II 82,000 miles.

Now what do I do?

Thanks for the help,

If you are mechanically technical then it sounds like one of the valve switch assemblys are bad. If not take it to a local Rover shop.

If it doesn't rain all weekend I'll try and troubleshoot the problem a little more.

If and when I find the and correct the problem does the Service Engine Soon Light go off or do I need to manually reset it with an OBD Scanner.

You will need to go by your local auto parts store and see if they will clear the code for you.

The Disco is back up and running. I removed the Secondary Air InductionControl Valve and sprayed it with Sea Foam "Deep Creep" (multi-use penetrating lubricant and sensor safe air intake clearning system), let it soak for about 4 hours and then cleaned it out usingcompressed air it started to work. Thanks for the support.
