Default Euro Spare head gaskets from AB!?

I just recieved my gasket/head bolt kit from AB and the head gaskets are "Euro Spare" ?! The name doesn't exactly instill confidence and aren't they supposed to be BOSCH? I called AB not remebering it is a holiday weekend so I will not be sure if this is a mix up until then. Can anyone speak to the quality of these gaskets?

That is the correct set. When you see the term "BOSCH", that refers only to the engine management system that was used in the 99 thru 04 engines.
You'll be fine, did you remember to order a new t/stat and head bolts?

For one dont include the word "confidence" with the word LR... they dont go well togather...

I dont think it really matters as LR, BA, AB, or any other rover endorsed part seems to fail reguardless. I made a post about head bolts after stumbleing upon a website that make headbolts for HP Diesel aluminum engines that make enormous amount of HP. I could be wrong but it seems that even doing a head gasket job...you will still have to do it again...Whats wrong with the picture..LR makes products that constantly fail...catostrophic...and suppliers make head gaskets that constantly fail...It's as doing a headgasket job is no better than a block sealer... Well, about $1,459.00 cheaper...

I hope your's goes well and lasts.., Chris

The bolts and t-stat are here as well. I am looking forward to getting into this thing. Chris, good post. I feel your pain.

I have to wonder how many repeat head gasket failures are because people haven't calibrated their torque wrench, or used an angle indicator when doing the second and third tightening.
