Default External CDL Handle

A while back I came across an article that gave instructions on how to fabricate and install a simple "rod" handle, accessible from just under the passanger side door, to activate/deactivate the CDL.

Would anyone have a copy of the diagram from that article?

I have searched all over the web and cannot re-locate it.

Thanks

Does anyone know where I can find this diagram and instructions?

First have you thought out having an external shifter? Having to get out in the mud, snow or rain is not always the best way to have to engage your CDL.

I finally found the diagram I was referring to in my original post.

It is attached so anyone who is interested can see what it looks like.

It connects to the "activator post" runs through the slot on the bracket and sits just under the passanger side door (from what I recall the original article, which I still can't find, said).

If I recall correctly, the bracket with the slot connects to two pre-existing bolts to support the arm.

I'm going to make one this weekend and see how it functions.

I remember the person who created it said it worked well and was easy to reach,

I know it is not as elegant as the D1 shifter and other options but it will be fine for me as I'm used to having muddy, wet boots when the D2 goes out to play : )
