Default Extra Foglight Switch

Quick question, can I mount another front foglight switch(pictured below) like the one that comes with my truck and use it with my two new hella foglights mounted on my roof rack/brushguard?

Sure, just need a relay to feed the power to the lights.

Get the cruise control switch or rear wiper switch. Its a simple on/off switch. And the switch faces are interchangeable

Thats what i did. Looks factory fresh

Please use a relay. Dont just run a switch, even if the max amp rating of the switch exceeds your total system amperage.

Any auto part store stock them.

Size it according to your system ouput.

Take the total Wattage of all lights on the circuit and ÷ by 12volts = your total system amperage.
The relay should be atleast this size.

Ex. (4) 100W lights ÷ 12 = 33.3amps. You need atleast a 35A relay.

Another thing to consider is the gauge of your conductors "wires". This all depends on the total amperage and wire run length. Do some research on sizing conductors to be sure you have the proper size.

One more thing. You will need to add an inline fuse (calculate proper size) to the "+" positive terminal conductor.
