Default extra spade on aftermarket starter

Hello in the middle of replacing starter on 98 disco 2 came out ok bought aftermarket starter from local parts store. It has an extra spade than the one I removed just wondering where I should re hook the wire and what the other spade is for any help would be appreciated thanks Steve in northern MI

Well, it would help if you posted what make the starter is, and even a photo. "extra spade" is pretty vague.

I would hook up your new starter the same way the old one was and don't worry about the extra terminal. A lot of times one aftermarket starter is designed to fit multiple brands and/or models of vehicles so there are terminals and mounting points that are not used every time.
