Anyone happen to know the size of the factory speaker wiring on an 04 D2? I couldn't find it by searching or in RAVE.

I'm trying to figure out if it will fine to leave while upgrading the speakers, or if I need to upgrade the factory wiring as well.

I don't know why you couldn't use the factory wiring.

 

I want to say its 18gauge, but I don't know for sure.

 

18Ga with the Phillips and or the Harmon Kardon power units and speakers, had mine out to replace the rear door speakers w/ Sony Xplodes

 

Excellent. 18 gauge will work just fine.
