I have 20% all the way around over stock tint on my 99. Makes a huge difference heat wise here in Arkansas during the summer. There are times it's a little tough to back up at night, but for how good it looks and the drop in temp inside makes it worth it.

The PO of my 04 put what looks to be 30% all the way around over stock. Doesn't look as nice and isn't nearly as cool inside as my 99. Been thinking of swapping to 20% on it, but if you've ever pulled window tint before you're never in a hurry to do it again!

Hopefully i post the picture correctly but here are the pics of mine with 35% front and 20% rear. Ignore sagging headliner...that is next on the list

Very nice look. Thanks for the pictures. I've always liked white rovers.

What brand are those air deflectors (windows)? Very nice looking fit.

I've been thinking of doing this lately also. Maybe it's the hot & humid Oklahoma summer that's getting to me. I think 20% is the legal limit here in OK.

JDWILKS... I'd be interested in knowing where you your window deflectors also. I used to have a set on a past truck and loved having them. Worked great for getting fresh air while it's raining outside.

Texas requires no darker than 25% on the front. I am thinking the 35/20 split, above, would be the way to go.

Hey guys, only took me a month to respond but notice a couple people asked about the rain guards. Believe it or not they are 25 ebay ones. I figured for that price would give them a shot. They have held up for half a year with no issues at all. The fit is pretty good the only place they are a little off is there they meet up with the side mirror but doesn't effect their functionality

I have 20% all around (minus the sunroof, left that factory). Love the look, plus, it greatly reduces the "Greenhouse effect". The interior is a lot cooler.

I went with 35% front and 15% rear (ebay, 2 ply, pre-cut, 29 bucks including shipping). Installation was a PITA and the job isn't perfect but from 15 feet away it looks awesome. I have to wait a few days before I can roll down the windows, so it had better help the temperature!

FYI for anyone else trying this project, this was my first time to apply tint and I could have done a better job, but when you follow the instructions (as I did on the LAST two windows), the result is near perfect. The concave stadium windows over the cargo area are the most difficult, followed closely by the rear window (because it is so large, has cutouts, and has heating elements). I am hoping the sunlight and heat are goingt to suck up my little boo boos. In any case, for 29 bucks I am happy and if it looks like crap I will just do it again.

The 15% on the back makes it very difficult to see in but I don't have any problems seeing out.

Best,

Charlie V

That's beautiful! WHere did you get that light bar (roof)?
