Ok so on my 2003 disco I want to check the transmission fliud and I can't find the dipstick. Granted i didn't look for very long. But where is it?
And long story short I went to six flags and lost my keys on a roller coaster. I paid a locksmith 250 to make a new key. But the key doesn't come out as easily as my original one.(I have to mess with it a bit) Would it be safe to go to a hardware store and have a new key made from the one I have? Is there a way to have a new key made without paying a lock smith?
P.s. What is the vin range for the oil pump issues?

First there is no dipstick for the trans. You have to crawl under the passenger side and the check plug is at the front of the pan.
Anyone can cut the keys, they don't have a chip. If you want one with a transmitter, that is a different story.
Assuming you don't have an owners manual for questions like this, might I suggest you download the RAVE manual (it is the dealers workshop manual) a link is provided in my signature.
