a few questions about my 2003 disco se
i just got a 2003 LR Disco SE with 40,000 miles and I love it so far! I have a few questions for anyone who would be able to help:
-when you are going at any speed above 50, is it normal for the rpm to be a little above 2?
-when it is real cold, is it normal for the blinkers to not work for a little while?
-when it is real cold, is it normal for the headlights to take a little while to turn on?
-any other tips to keep this thing in awesome running shape would be much appreciated!
i did get a extended warrenty on it that last up to 100,000 so that is good.

RE: a few questions about my 2003 disco se
Hello XADAMX
1. I would say that is normal with rpm above 2 because your going faster. I have a 96 disco1 had she does it not of major concern.
2. hmmm having heard of that but anything is possible.
3. I wouldn't say that's normal but living in very cold weather could cause things to freeze there needing the engine to heat things up.
4. The main things to keeping your rover rovering is to stay on top of repairs like your oil change every 3-4k keeping clean air filters, just keeping of all of your fluids top and when needed to flushed go off road and test the transfer shift make sure it's not stuck as some can get when their not used often plus learning to fix and get to know your rover is one of the best things. making sure nothing is seriously leaking. just basic stuff once you know your rover you will see she is very easy to repair.
5. The extended warranty is great that will give you a peace of mind for awhile even after it ends just do the stuff above and your disco will run forever. plus most prob were gone before yours was made. All discos are great 4x4s but some had things that others didn't that's all.
